Keeping Warm in Uttlesford

With the weather forecast to get colder, we would really appreciate your help in promoting our 'Keeping Warm' service. This project targets anyone, young or old, in small or large households, who may be struggling to keep warm during the winter, perhaps through lack of money, difficulty maintaining their home or for any other reason.

Our advisers have been specially trained to help people access practical support and advice regarding:
• Benefits, including cold weather payments and disability benefits
• Money or debt, including debts to utility providers
• Switching, to get lower fuel bills,
• The priority services register.
• Home improvement grants and handyman services
• Energy efficient behaviours and home improvements
• Home safety
• Personal alarms
• Flu jabs
• Fall prevention services
• Community services, including transport, food delivery and home library services.

Please encourage anyone in your parish who you think may benefit from this service to contact us. If you have their consent, you can also refer a friend or neighbour yourself. Visit and search ‘cold’ or call our dedicated helpline on 01799 618858.

Thank you for your help.

With best wishes,
Jo Hancock
